PRENATAL CARE
This is your “becoming” phase. You and your partner are becoming mother and father. It’s in this season that you can ask all the questions, and do your research. Our on-call status begins in the prenatal period.
Care starts as early as 10 weeks
1 hour appointments
Routine Labs (Rooted Midwifery can draw your labs at your appointment)
Standard Prenatal Schedule: Once a month until 30 weeks
Every 2 weeks until 36 weeks
Every week until baby is born
***While we value building relationship with you, we also value sleep. We would kindly appreciate nonemergent calls and texts (such as supplements) to occur during normal business hours. ***
BIRTH
Care from onset of active labor until 3-4 hours postpartum
Portable birth tub available for rent
At least a midwife and trained assistant to ensure your best experience
POSTPARTUM
Visits for Mom AND baby: 24 hours, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and 6 weeks
Breastfeeding assistance
Critical Congenital Heart Defect Screening
Referral for a hearing screen
Pap smear offered at last postpartum visit
